Stepping inside, you realize that this is a very special space. Your eyes take in the beutifull cream hide and matching Wilton carpet and just one look at the woodwork will convince you this car was built by craftsmen. The sculpted bucket seats hold the promise of things to come so, slip in behind the adjustable steering wheel and let your eyes wonder over the instrumentation, adjust the electrically opperated seat, place the key in the ignition and turn. What was silence is know underpinned with the bass worble of a finely tuned V8, you will notice the the instrumentation has come to life and the open road beckons. Slide the silky smooth selector in to drive, release the handbrake and decide how fast you want to reach your destination. If you are in hurry up mode the horizon will fill the windscreen and a giant hand will be pinning you to the seat, bends just become apexes that are negotiated with the slightest input to the wheel, glancing at the rev counter it's rise and fall are the only way to confirm that each gear has been seemlesly selecte and slurred into the next. At all speeds you will feel safe and secure and reveling in the legendary Jaguar handling and roadholding. Should the situation dictate, a gentle push on the brakes will mimick hiting a brick wall with the ABS assisted disc brakes opperating just as Jaguar intended. If music is your thing then once again prepare yourself for a treat, the stereo radio will keep you happy with your favorite programs and the built in CD system, thrill you with it's reproduction and power. Electric one stop windows, power mirrors, remote central locking and factory alarm are all fitted as standard. To be fair to the rear seats, they do look pretty and they do have seat belts and they would be fine for a young or short family, but unless your friends are all vertically challenged, you would be advised to take the wives car.

 There are no issues with this car it drives and perform exactly like it should and after a 40 mile test drive all we could find fault with is that it was not an 80 mile test drive.

There has been an article in one of the Jaguar enthusiast's magazine, it featured an XK8 with similar mileage. The conclusion was that if the car has been well maintained and looked after, then these are stunning cars to own..........We agree!!
