There is no doubt that you will need a 90 degree connector for the power into the type c connection. I wired a type c connection to the outside of the case and soldered it directly to the 5v pins on the board. There was room to wire in a gps and a 2000mah battery. This is going to hang from my overhead conceal in my truck so the battery really isn’t needed.
