Product Information
The first game based on Nickelodeon's The Wild Thornberrys is a six-level action adventure for the Game Boy Color. Each level features a different character from the globetrotting animated series, beginning with Eliza Thornberry in "Born to be Free". As the pigtailed redhead, players must find and rescue caged animals while avoiding creatures such as scorpions and jellyfish.<br><br>"Monkey Business" stars Darwin the chimp as he climbs trees to recover missing pieces of a video camera. Dangers in this level include snakes, natives, tree frogs, and marmosets. In "Battle Mania", Donny needs to eat as many beetles as he can while roaming the African savannah. A stomach meter gradually fills up the more beetles he eats, but running into animals only makes Donny hungrier. <br><br>"Commvee Rally" involves Debbie driving around a jungle searching for lost CDs. Players must find the required number within the allotted time before advancing to "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yeti", which has Marianne videotaping a specific number of animals while keeping an eye on her battery power. The final episode, "Down and Outback", has Nigel clinging to a rope as he's lowered down a ravine filled with snakes and dingoes.<br><br>Three difficulty settings are available that influence the number of items collected in each level. In addition, a password feature allows players to resume their progress from the last level completed. A two-player board game is also included as a link-up option. Players take turns rolling a die, moving spaces, and revealing cards in an attempt to be the first to reach the end of the board.
