On a 2008 civic lx coupe with 285k I did the replacement myself. A 1/16 metal bit did the job helping pull out the roll pin. After installing, the car wouldn’t stay running, but as soon as I swapped the remote fob to the new key it worked like magic. No programing necessary. Now I have a civic ready to do what it does best. RUN!! Thanks to the seller for an economy part.

It was all in great condition and worked as it should. For the price it can’t be beat . Looks very close to the same as the OEM parts I took out. I wouldn’t hesitate on buying again . Super happy with my purchase. Seller even contacted me telling me if I have any problems or concerns to reach him and he would help me out . I thought that was a very kind gesture.

Surprisingly quick ship, well packaged, and though the installation as expected was not easy, the result is a car with matching locks (1 key) that operate like when it rolled off the dealer's lot. Kind of wish it came with a way to create a valet key, but honestly, "who cares?" TECH TIP: a blind roll pin secures the ignition cylinder into the housing. Screw in a 1mm tap and then pull to extract.
