I went able to use the the slats to restore a cast iron garden table. The slats are good to use I just needed to drill a hole at either end of the wood and fit them to the iron frame. The only problem now is, should I paint them, varnish or leave them as they are ? I am very happy with the results.

They rectified an issue with the delivery (missing battens) and gave me some excellent advice about finishing and prepping the timber. My wife and I are very happy with it.
