I've changed my mind that shocks aren't THAT big of a deal with Hotchkiss suspensions. The lack of travel with the "spec" Rubicon Express shocks informed my motivation to get new/better shocks, but the ride quality improvement is REALLY unexpected and welcome! Having dispensed with the stupid Panhard rods (trackbar) and anti-sway bars, the ride control of the Bilstein's is especially obvious.
