The UPS was to replace an identical one that failed with what seems to be a generic problem (failure of a couple of capacitors). It is a second-hand unit and could fail in the same way but that is no reflection on the seller and should be fixable with a soldering iron plus useful discussion and instructions on the Web. A good sale.
