Its point-and-shoot function is simple to operate. With the Nikon COOLPIX S9700, you will never miss an opportunity to catch a picture. The screen size of this model is 3 inches wide and features a vari-angle LCD monitor with an OLED 921k-dot display. What sets the OLED monitor apart is that images are viewed in a richer, more accurate range of color palettes. The camera has continuous shooting capability, with speeds of about 6.9 frames per second using the 30x zoom Nikkor glass lenses. This type of zoom lens is known for its optical precision and clarity. Focus your lens on a subject with an optical magnifier of 30 multipliers for a quality photo. Use the retractable flash, which is controlled through a directional button. Maximizing the flash function requires identification of the preferred setting prior to a photo shoot. Other features include 120 digital times zoom magnification, 25mm in wide-angle side focal length, 750mm in telephoto focal length, and a shutter speed of 1/2000 of a second. It also has a full HD video recording function, and it is capable of supporting videos with up to 1080p maximum resolution. It has a 2- and 10-second self-timer options, and it is mountable on a tripod. The operating functions of digital cameras today have expanded to allow wireless network capabilities. The COOLPIX has built-in Wi-Fi, which is used to quickly connect to a smartphone or any compatible device. This Wi-Fi function facilitates the transfer of digital media content from cameras to compatible smart devices. Nikon also has a free mobile app for this unit, and it enables you to quickly share your photos across various social media platforms. Before sharing your photos, use the downloadable imaging software to adjust photos to your specifications. The software, called the ViewNX2, offers several photo editing options. Crop, resize, and control the brightness of any photo taken with your device. Store all of your pictures on the handy SD memory card, or immediately transfer your files through the built-in USB port. The USB cable, which is compatible with both the iMac and PC, is used to attach the unit to compatible smart devices to transfer video or photo files. This Nikon model has an integrated GPS capability which allows you to geographically tag your photos. Through this function, you don’t have to keep tabs on where a certain photo was taken, as the camera displays the coordinates for you. This particular unit has a built-in map to help you mark your shoot locations. To ensure a continuous photography session, keep your COOLPIX camera powered with the included lithium-ion battery. Use the charging adapter if your Nikon camera needs a quick charge. The unit also comes with an easy-to-read manual to help you navigate through its various functions.
