Synopsis
A brief walk through just about any bike shop or a quick perusal of today's popular auction Web sites reveals that one of the hottest trends among modern bicycle enthusiasts is retro. In addition to the current popularity of new models built to look like classics from times past, many of today's velophiles have taken to restoring relatively inexpensive classics to their former glory. This illustrated, step-by-step guide takes readers through each of the bicycle's mechanical systems, providing detailed and knowledgeable advice for restoring them to working order. In addition, there's also useful information on returning any neglected garage-sale find to its original luster. The advice rendered is applicable to just about any single-speed bicycle from the 1930s to the 1970s, with special emphasis on balloon-tire models of the 1950s and muscle bikes of the 1960s and 1970s., A brief walk through just about any bike shop or a quick perusal of today's popular Internet auction websites reveals that one of the hottest trends among modern bicycle enthusiasts is retro. The book was in the condition as described, so I wasn't expecting much. But actually it was in pretty good shape for my standards, I was surprised. Furthermore the book was sent in a cardboard box to protect it from damage during shipment. This box was evidence of the seller's intent to deliver a good product and I will definitely be going to this seller before other in the future.

The item was as described, shipped on time, and packed well. The seller even quickly responded to an address change I had to do! I have no complaints here :) Would buy again!!

Hit & miss shipping. Quick customer service response. Requested cardboard mailer for softcover book when buying, was to be a gift. Their shipping is the same if it is a cardboard mailer or a bubble mailer, $3.99. The book arrived damaged, bubble mailer torn. They offered a discount for damaged book & missing shipping request. I accepted but still disappointed, as I will have to buy it again. Last week different order was shipped in cardboard mailer item, arrived perfect no damage as described.
