However, it was loaded with 4 batteries that were heavily corroded. The corrosion filled the battery compartment, making it difficult to remove the batteries. Just to be sure, I checked the voltage on each battery, and, not surprisingly, they were all dead. It would have been IMPOSSIBLE to check that this flash was 'fully operational and functions as intended' without power. They lied.
