Synopsis
Explains the influences that have shaped anarchism and the different tactics and strategies that have been used by anarchists throughout history to achieve their ends. This book covers themes both historical and contemporary, including: Could anarchy ever really be a viable alternative to the state?, In this clear and penetrating study, Ruth Kinna goes directly to the heart of this controversial ideology, explaining the influences that have shaped anarchism and the different tactics and strategies that have been used by anarchists throughout history to achieve their ends. Kinna covers themes both historical and acutely contemporary, including: Could anarchy ever really be a viable alternative to the state? Can anarchist ideals ever be consistent with the justification of violence? How has anarchism influenced the anti-globalization movement?, The rise of the anti-globalization movement has led to a renewed interest in anarchism, but many are still unsure what the anarchists stand for. This title goes right to the heart of the anarchist ideology, explaining the influences that have shaped organised civil unrest in a number of countries.

The book was in the condition as described, so I wasn't expecting much. But actually it was in pretty good shape for my standards, I was surprised. Furthermore the book was sent in a cardboard box to protect it from damage during shipment. This box was evidence of the seller's intent to deliver a good product and I will definitely be going to this seller before other in the future.

Hit & miss shipping. Quick customer service response. Requested cardboard mailer for softcover book when buying, was to be a gift. Their shipping is the same if it is a cardboard mailer or a bubble mailer, $3.99. The book arrived damaged, bubble mailer torn. They offered a discount for damaged book & missing shipping request. I accepted but still disappointed, as I will have to buy it again. Last week different order was shipped in cardboard mailer item, arrived perfect no damage as described.
