This means that you have to leave the lamp turned on at the mains 24/7, or set the clock every time you turn it on at the mains, which is a pain in the neck. Either that, or don't bother ever setting the clock, which kind of defeats the object of having a lamp with a built in clock. I don't like to leave things turned on at the mains as it's a potential fire risk. That's why I returned it.
