There were several dents and tears along the spine and binding, and dings in the back cover as well (which is hard printed without a dust cover). Also, the book was shipped in a plain plastic mailing bag with no cushioning or protection whatsoever, which may be the reason for the damage the spine and cover. All in all, not a great transaction.
