Inside the carton the cheese was in a plastic bag with a tie around it. There was no brine in the bag with the feta cheese to keep it fresh. I had a similar order about 4 months ago and the cheese arrived within a few days in an airtight container with brine and had a lot of flavor. This cheese is very soft, and I will use it in my cooking and not serve it fresh.
