Published by Square Electronic Arts, the exclusive publisher of all Squaresoft products in North America, Chocobo's Dungeon 2 for the PlayStation is an adventure role-playing game geared toward beginning to intermediate gamers.<br><br>Chocobo is the familiar, chicken-like character who originated in Square's Final Fantasy RPG series. Chocobo along with a few other friends from Final Fantasy, including Mog (the treasure hunter), Cid (the tinkerer), and Bahamut (the King of Dragons), embark on a quest in search of hidden treasure. The cartoonish crew explores rich, mysterious worlds that include garden mazes and the ocean floor.<br><br>As the players advance through multiple levels they encounter traps, treasures and fearsome creatures like goblins, skeletons, and the terrifying golem, an extremely strong stone giant created by magic and brought to life in order to protect his party. Along the way they must find the courage and friendship that are the secrets to finishing the game.<br><br>Chocobo's Dungeon 2 offers recognizable characters, intuitive menus and a simplified magic selection system that should make this game an ideal title for first-time role-players. The game provides more than 40 hours of gameplay and utilizes a "Random Dungeon Generator," which creates a brand new dungeon for players to navigate each time it is entered. Players are never in the same dungeon layout twice.<br><br>Players can battle the monsters they encounter by using real-time Chocobo kicks or using powerful customized weapons created from items that they collect during their adventure. Players can also refer to their magic book and whip up a spell in order to defeat these beasts. If none of these options work and players find themselves in trouble, they can opt to use a "Teleport Tag" and transport to safety.<br><br>Chocobo's Dungeon 2 is compatible with the PlayStation's Dual Shock Analog Controller, and provides cooperative two-player simultaneous action, allowing two gamers to play at the same time on the same screen.

    Delivered on time with adequate protection in the packaging. The description did note some edge wear of the ink stamp, but I felt looking back that the pictures didn't do very well to highlight the extent of the stamp fading, maybe due to lighting/glare. While I might have selected a different disc with a bit less ink wear if I'd looked more carefully at the picture, the seller accurately represented the condition and I am happy with the purchase for the price.
