This is the first one I've had the LCD Screen and personally I HATE IT. 80% of the time I can't see anything on the screen and 100% of the time I can't see the details I want to see. This hood helps to a degree. However the problem is not with the design of the hood it's with the design of cameras/camcoders that use LCD screens instead of viewfinders. It helps to a point where this is a worthwhile purchase.
