Burn very well & last for hours so no need to keep checking on the fire. Just let these bricks do their job & they will lookafter you with a beautiful aroma, heat & delicate Burn. I use kindling to get them going. Its a trick to lighting but once you know you won't regret it. Dad taught me how. He was right, they are the best heat going that is safe & good value. Plus you can transfer the Ash to the garden!

First time burning peat on my Morso 1430, took some getting going, best way I found was to set the fire using kindling and small logs, then putting the peat 'bricks' on (2) once it burnt down but still putting out enough heat to cause the peat to catch. Once alight they are a half way house between logs and coal (briquettes), they give out good heat and burn longer than logs but not as long as coal. The smell is distinctive and they burn very cleanly.

I have used another brand of peat briguette for many years and saw these on youtube, decided to try them. They are good for a slow burn in an open fire but do not generate enough heat in my stove, hence a black window and an ecofan that did not rurn. I will not be buying them again, they do not generate enough heat without supplementation with a kiln dried log. They also crumble quickly and did not burn for long enough

I can only see positives from this as who ever ended up with these gorgeous peat bricks for their good value, condition & quality & see where they came from, hopefully Phairs will see an extra customer. Thank you to Shirley & Theresa for chasing the order. This kind of customer service is missing these days. Very happy customer!

When the parcel arrived it was damaged which caused two of the four packs to be ripped and squashed. Fortunately the contents although flattened were perfectly ok so no harm done. It also arrived late which was ok but I think something heavy was put on top of the parcel for it to have arrived in such a bad condition.

A little disappointed with packaging, as had lots of holes and damage to box, maybe the reason I had some missing bolts.
