Synopsis
At once grotesquely comic and unflinchingly violent: the final entry in the trailblazing Harlem Detectives series, set in New York in the sweltering summer heat. "A sensual, surreal, cartoonishly violent and breathtakingly bawdy comic universe." -- Los Angeles Times New York is sweltering in the summer heat, and Harlem is close to the boiling point. To Coffin Ed Johnson and Grave Digger Jones, at times it seems as if the whole world has gone mad. Trying, as always, to keep some kind of peace--their legendary nickel-plated Colts very much in evidence--Coffin Ed and Grave Digger find themselves pursuing two completely different cases through a maze of knifings, beatings, and riots that threaten to tear Harlem apart., At once grotesquely comic and unflinchingly violent, Blind Man With a Pistol is the final entry in Chester Himes's trailblazing Harlem Detectives series. - s***e (7)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufI ordered the book 6/4, for a 6/12 delivery. I wanted it for my book club meeting today, 6/20. By 6/12, it had not arrived. At that point, I wrote I still wanted it but only if it had already shipped. Ebay replied the book should now arrive by 6/19. On 6/18 I was emailed that the book had JUST shipped and would arrive by 6/25. The original delivery date was ignored, and so was the extended deadline. Please be realistic and upfront about delivery dates. Sometimes they matter to the buyer.
