Once I found the correct depth of the trans pan I put a mark on the dipstick with permanent marker so I knew where to stop every time. Save a couple hundred bucks at the dealer with this tool. You do need a way to read the transmission fluid temp. My 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee shows transmission temp readings in the dash so it was super simple.
