The Low Dispersion (LD) glass element of this Tamron lens for Nikon minimizes chromatic aberration and the Internal Focusing (IF) mechanism gives a closer minimum focusing distance. This aspherical macro lens also features a Zoom Lock (ZL) that locks the lens barrel, aiding against unwanted extension while carrying the lens.
