HOWEVER, one can not install the potentiometer. This is a breakout board for ALPS RK27 and others similar so the pin spacing is supposed to be 5mm between pins and 10mm betweens rows of pins in each gang. The spacing on these boards between the gangs is ~11.6mm. One would have to bend and force the potentiometer onto the board.
