The socket connectors and the pins are too narrow to make contact with the light bulb socket voltage pins. I ended up cutting the connectors off of my old LED brake light and soldering them onto this one and it worked just fine.

I contacted the seller 2014mmotor & immediately replied offering to ship a replacement or issue me a refund and told me I wouldn’t even need to return the wrong part which really saved me time and hassle.
