However the included cord did not make a good connection when plugged in to the unit and it would only flicker when cord wiggled. I assume the hard wire kit would connect just fine. I had to insert additional wire bits into the sockets to get the cord end to make contact in socket. Most people would not be able to do this. Too much hassle to return, and I like the unit otherwise.
