I believe the seller intentionally misreprsented the goods, then tried to force me to accept them, when that failed tried to gouge me on the back end. The buyer was offered a partial refund only as an option if he would like to keep the item— no one was forced to keep anything. He received a 100% refund (50% from me & 50% from ebay) yet returned the item damaged and in pieces, making it unsellable. I am now out over $180 in shipping costs that I wanted to avoid but honored the return anyways. I handled this case honestly & according to eBay policy. The claim of unethical behavior is false and misleading.
