They have a non-recoverable error rate improved by a factor of 10 compared the previous generations. The HDD contains the Seagate-exclusive IRAW process that helps verify during idle times that the data has been written properly. This high-performance product offers 15,000 RPM spindle speeds with a transfer rate of 300 Mbps of data. Users can use the Seagate Cheetah 15K.5 internally by connecting their computer using a SCSI, SCSI Ultra 320, or the SAS Interface.The Seagate ST3146855SS is fully compatible with the Serial Attached SCSI standard.
