I have another one of these purchased a couple of years ago and it’s easy to get into the battery compartment on that one. This is a newer model but it was designed with a flaw of being difficult to get the battery compartment open. I mean I was afraid I was going to break the plastic casing just to get it open to put the new battery into it. Buyer beware about this.
