Rick Friedman and Jeff Johnson have been writing together since 1990. That's when they became band mates in the popular Las Vegas based band, The Lon Bronson All-Star Rhythm and Blues, Rock and Soul Revue. Rick is the Lead Vocalist and Jeff is the Keyboardist. After writing originals for this 14-piece horn band, Friedman and Johnson began to be approached by local artists and more famous fans of the band such as Drew Carey and Tom Jones, to write original songs for them. After 13 years of writing for others, they decided to produce this project. Friedman, a student of Kabbalah for over 4 years, suggested to his partner, Johnson, that this should be the theme of the project due to the great interest in Kabbalah and that no one had written any contemporary music based on this ancient wisdom. The results are contained in this debut CD that runs the gamut from driving rhythms in 'Soul Mate' and 'The Zohar' to the haunting melody in 'Meaning of Life'. The opening song, 'Ana B'Koach' is based on a 4000-year-old meditation that contains Hebrew words that can actually tap into the power of creation. What is Kabbalah? It's a 4000-year-old universal wisdom that was the origin of many spiritual teachings and religions throughout the ages and reveals the secrets of the Universe. Some of the more notable students of this ancient wisdom are: Abraham, Moses, King David, Plato, Aristotle, Shakspeare, Newton and Freud. Millions worldwide including Madonna and producer/director Joel Silver are studying Kabbalah. This is your chance to find out what Kabbalah is all about through the lyrics and melodies of this outstanding CD.

    The seller described the item well, however, I think they undersold the item. It is in excellent condition, and packaged appropiately for a archive collection item.
