SynSym, the corporation behind the development of this technological marvel which is capable of bridging the gap between a human brain and the immense powers offered by the world's most advanced computers, is confident that the SymPlant will change humanity by providing a simple means for instantaneous mega-data exchanges through a simple implant within each human cranium. <br><br>This first-person perspective journey begins with the player taking the part of co-pilot Yuri Ruport of the I.S.T. Rident, a top-of-the-line passenger space cruiser in the Delta quadrant. Unfortunately, the unthinkable has occurred. The Rident, transporting several VIPs on this trip, has been attacked by two unknown space vessels, leaving it dead in space. When power regenerates enough to bring emergency lighting back online, the man to whom Ruport was speaking when the lights went out, Rident's captain Roland Tailor, and all other personnel on the ship are gone. He is alone on the derelict ship, drifting in space.. <br><br>Symbiocom features 3D graphics, extensive orchestral music tracks, a vast gaming world that spans an entire galaxy from one end to the other and a mystery-laden storyline. Your goal is to ferret out the reasons and people responsible for this deep-space attack, find your recently departed crew and uncover the far-reaching and deadly conspiracy behind this action. The interface utilizes a point-and-click input system wherein the on-screen cursor lights up when "hot-spots" are discovered. The game includes a strong in-game hint system that gives specific and explicit puzzle and situation solutions.
