Tearing down the GBA, the board looked good after a little bit of cleanup with Isopropyl alcohol. I had to de-solder the (tiny!) power switch cover and clean the (tiny!) contacts/re-solder back together to get it working again. I'm happy to report the GBA board lives on in a new shell with IPS V5 illuminated screen; the rest of the original remaining parts I'll keep for potential future restoration projects. Thanks much!
