Perfect fit 40" waist and short 29" inside leg. As I thought, the cut is low rise as I wanted, which refers to the distance between crutch and waist. Never had a better purchase and even has hidden expanding waist on both sides as some M&S trousers have.

Just after ordering I received an apology from the seller saying the size was out of stock and it would be 4 to 5 weeks for delivery, I replied that it would not be a problem but they then arrived within the original predicted time anyway
