Los Angeles-based Eels defy convention with their Dream Works debut. Led by singer/songwriter/guitarist E, the band celebrates the offbeat in a fascinating musical landscape that relies on melody, insight, a unique use of sampling and bizarre instrumentation. Having released 2 solo albums in the early '90s, Eels is the first band experience for E, who produced Beautiful Freak with aid from Michael Simpson (Beastie Boys, Beck). Video for the track "Novocaine for the Soul."
