This was the first Nintendo console to use optical discs rather than cartridges. There are four ports that you can plug GameCube controllers into for an exciting multiplayer gaming experience. With two memory card slots built into the GameCube, you can also easily save and transfer your data. There is a diverse variety of games available for the GameCube. This means that regardless of your gaming preferences, you can easily find something that will keep you happily occupied for hours. For example, you can get a number of GameCube games from Nintendo that feature the famous Super Mario. Multiplayer games like “Super Smash Bros Melee” allow you to compete against your friends. With so many options available, it's easy to get lost in the many levels of a whimsical Mario World or engage in a race against Mario's friends and enemies. Set out on an adventurous journey with one of the many Zelda games designed for this Nintendo console. There are four installments of the series that were created for the GameCube, including “The Ocarina of Time,” “The Wind Waker,” “Twilight Princess,” and “Four Swords Adventures.” Several of the games were compiled onto one disk, titled “The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition.” This classic action-adventure series follows the protagonist and main playable character, Link. He embarks on a quest to save a princess from the kingdom of Hyrule.
