In June 1943 the quiet English countryside around the village of Ridgewell in northwest Essex was transformed by the arrival of the 381st Bomb Group with its B-17 Flying Fortresses. The subsequent battle in the skies over Europe witnessed the 381st, in concert with their fellow-airmen with the Mighty Eighth, striking 297 times at Hitler's Fortress Europe and dropping over 22,000 tons of ordnance in the process.       Well packaged with lots of thick duct tape. I appreciated the duct tape element because it means the book nor packaging got damaged as the parcel moved through the USPS postal system. The book I am mighty pleased with and it's condition lives up to the seller's description. A clean copy and no markings, tears or stains on the book inside or outside. The seller's decent price, clear photos of the book's appearance and great customer service is why I chose this version over other copies on ebay.
