Brimming with the dramas of everyday life and placed in a setting of swirling curves and diagonal lines, this is a book that children will pick up frequently, following the directions and enjoying the detours. -Kirkus Reviews (starred review) [A] madcap anthropomorphic menagerie... [A] visual adventure into which 5- to 9-year-olds can disappear unaided. ... In densely illustrated pages, young readers can follow the characters through wordless, intersecting adventures, all of which culminate beneath a fireworks show at the fair. -The Wall Street Journal, Brimming with the dramas of everyday life and placed in a setting of swirling curves and diagonal lines, this is a book that children will pick up frequently, following the directions and enjoying the detours. --Kirkus Reviews (starred review) "Use your eyes!" urge the Mizielinskis on the cover of this large-format board book first published in Poland. Kids will need to do just that as they become immersed in the busy and strangely captivating cartoon world of Mamoko. The opening pages introduce more than a dozen animals with mysteries of their own ("Ada Chirp has someone on her tail. Who is watching her every move?"). Readers will need to comb the wordless scenes that follow, Where's Waldo?-style, for the answer to that and other enticing questions. --Publishers Weekly [A] madcap anthropomorphic menagerie... - e***l (876)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufBook is in excellent condition. It did arrive a week and a half later than it was originally supposed to. I reached out to the seller which took a bit of time to receive a response. The book was a good value and it did ship in a bubble envelope which always helps with protecting the books from postal handling/damage.
- d***a (53)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufShipping took a little longer than it initially said but the book still arrived just as described in fantastic condition. I wasn't a huge fan of the packaging though, as it was just wrapped in a simple thin plastic sleeve with zero cushion or padding and I've had books completely destroyed because there was nothing to protect them so if possible I'd like to see the seller provide a safer package when shipping books. But thankfully mine wasn't damaged in transit!STATION HILL BLANCHOT READER, Blanchot, Maurice, 9781886449176 (Nr. 197410139171)
