Can't say definitely if it worked or not but I had the same exact issue with my TV after swapping parts which leads me to believe the problem was the panel after all. Minor inconvenience as the board was only $20. Eventually purchased a new TV. Still would recommend trying the cheap solution first before outright replacing. It did ship fast though.
