It was a very thick cardboard envelope with a thin bubble wrap enclosed envelope inside only a penny sleeve. For how much was spent on the packaging, I think putting it in a top loader with a piece of cardboard or 2 around the card. Putting it in a thick envelope with another mini bubble wrap envelope kind of scares me. I almost bent the card opening the bubble wrap envelope because the card is so thing in comparison. There was also a scratch at the top of the card.:(
