The item is porcelain and I was worried if it wasn't packaged well it could break during transport and shipping, but it was carefully wrapped and packaged to avoid any breakage and arrived safe and sound. The condition was just as it was described. Shipping cost seemed a little hight but I am still very pleased with the purchase for the money.
