Before Sony introduced the Playstation, Playtation 2, and PS3; Microsoft introduced the Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One; and Nintendo introduced the Wii and Wii U, there was the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). This retro console, which is often compared to the Atari due to their similar release times, offers hundreds of titles that span all video game genres, from arcade to role-playing. One classic game from the NES is Ghostbusters by Activision. This Nintendo game expands upon the storyline from the beloved Ghostbusters movie, allowing those who play to immerse themselves in the Ghostbusters universe. This 1988 game begins by letting users choose which of four cars they want to play with. As players encounter different enemies, like ghosts, throughout the game and search their environments, they can find various resources, such as money, items, and new equipment that can help on future missions. The world of the Ghostbusters NES game is full of secrets, and players should focus their efforts on finding the numerous secret codes hidden throughout the game environment. Players can then turn in these codes to unlock new and more challenging levels. Finally, a Ghostbusters gaming experience would not be complete without the iconic Ghostbusters song, and players can hear this in the background to their adventure.
