Me and my husband planned to build something similar from scratch and then I found this cat tree. It is excellent. Great design. Metal reinforcement on the back of the landing pads. Beautiful birch plywood. It is not as easy to assemble as IKEA furniture. But very close. You will need some skills with the screwdriver so if you used it last time too many years ago - it will be better to call a handyman.
