In this case it was NOT stated that the item was likely KNOWN to be totally DOA, and quite literally of almost $0 value. The manufacturer says that they no longer repair these, but will give a $549 credit IF you can prove to be the original purchaser, otherwise a $250 credit, that can only be used if purchasing a replacement directly form them at $2199 while it is available from a retailer for $1889
