I thought I was getting a luggage set void of imperfections but that was not the case .

It came with a protective cover you must remove, which is totally up to you. The shipping was fast, and the package was packaged very well. I was sad that the lining came apart when I opened the 28-inch suitcase. I wanted to send the seller an email before I posted a review. However, I used E6000 glue to reattach it. I don't have time to send it back because I'm leaving for vacation this week.
