Based on the hit Disney Pixar movie “Finding Nemo,” this “Buscando a Nemo” book from LeapPad helps children practice their Spanish reading and speaking skills. This interactive learning toy combines a spiral-bound book with an electronic pad and pen and features many of the beloved characters from the original Disney movie. This “Finding Nemo” book follows Marlin and Dory as they search for Nemo, who is traveling the world both in and outside of the ocean in a desperate search for his family. Nemo, a clown fish, has a short fin, which prompts his father Marlin to be overly protective of him. Nemo’s journey begins when he swims too close to the surface of the ocean to prove himself and then gets captured by a diver, eventually ending up in a fish tank in a dentist’s office. Marlin must then set off in search of his son, who in turn is searching for him. Marlin is joined by memorable character Dory, a blue reef fish who has a short memory and is a little goofy and who was so endearing she eventually became the star of her own movie. Join Nemo and his friends on their adventure, and learn in the process. They’ll encounter dangers such as sharks and jellyfish as well as a host of other sea life. Ideal for children ages 4 to 6, this Disney “Finding Nemo” book allows children to read along with the story on their own but offers help if they encounter difficult words or words they don’t know. Simply trace the pen along the text to have the words read aloud, or touch the pen to individual words to have them spoken aloud. Kids will love the fun and engaging structure of this “Finding Nemo" book, which makes learning a game instead of a chore.
