“ Haywire is a Hollywood childhood memoir, a glowing tapestry spun with equal parts of gold and pain. . . . An absolute beauty. - The New York Times Book Review “Moving and brave and beautifully written. . . . [Hayward] has told it as Fitzgerald might have-with the glow and the glamour, and finally, the heartbreak. - Newsday “One of the most extraordinary personal memoirs I've ever read. It has great honesty and charm and humor and beauty, and it is deeply moving. -Truman Capote “Exquisite. - Vanity Fair “[A] masterpiece in the genre of harrowing autobiographical tell-all. - W “Elegant and moving. -Gore Vidal “A sort of glorious fable from American mythology. . . . A gripping and eloquent memoir by a courageous and classy writer. - St. Louis Post-Dispatch “She has modeled and acted and written: she writes, in fact, marvelously. Haywire mesmerizes. May it cauterize as well. - The New York Times “An incredible achievement! -Lauren Bacall “One of those rare books which seem to alter your perception of things. It is specific and true in dealing with lives that might have served as models for Fitzgerald’s fiction. -Mike Nicols “Brave, honest, intelligent and greatly moving. - Newsweek “Engrossing, intimate, moving. . . . Brooke Hayward writes like an angel. - Cosmopolitan, " Haywire is a Hollywood childhood memoir, a glowing tapestry spun with equal parts of gold and pain. . . . - b***a (2818)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufReceived 11/29/25. Thank you for a very pleasant, smooth & quick transaction. The item was packaged well for shipping. It was in new condition as it was decribed. Department 56 always produced quality figurines. Considering this piece has been discontinued, the price was reasonable. I am well pleased with this transaction and I know I will enjoy the piece for years to come.

I Was Concerned At 1st, When Finding The Package N My Mail Box, As I Heard It Rattle, So, Not 2 Agrivate It Any Further, I Was Very Careful Upon Opening It, As I Found That The DVD Was Loose, & Not On The Hub Within The DVD Case. From My Past Xperiences, This Is Usually A Bad Sign, As The DVD's R Usually Scratched, But Luckily, This 1 Still Arrived N Xcellent Cond. I Highly Recommend This 'Saved' Seller! 👍Robocop (DVD, 1998, Criterion Collection - OUT OF PRINT) w/ Manual *LIKE NEW* (Nr. 257003342058)
- 8***k (3786)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufFar and away the ugliest seller I have encountered in more than 20 years. (eBay tells me it's 21.) Sent a book described as good, but it was underlined IN INK from cover to cover!!! Mistakes can happen, but this seller ignored three emails, and when I submitted photos and asked for a full $21.39 refund for this worthless book, I was offered $4.99. She just wanted to get me irritated all over again. When eBay intervened and saw photos, a full refund was immediate. Avoid her like the plague!
