The glass itself also felt grainy and not smooth like most Bormioli glass ware. I reported my disappointment and got only an apology for this unpleasant unpacking experience. The film and grainy bita are cleaning residue which will simply wash off leaving the glass smooth again, occasionally this happens in manufacturing it doesn't remove anything from the product quality given you are meant to wash all new glassware before use. You made it very clear your motivation was a discount on top of 2 discounts already given so we offered a return
