Synopsis
The aim of this book is to provide an overview of mathematical physiology containing a variety of physiological models. The book is divided into two parts. The first is a pedagogical presentation of some of the basic theory, with chapters on biochemical reactions, diffusion, excitability, wave propagation and cellular homeostasis.
