Using digital cameras to capture in all types of lighting is important to amateur and professional photographers alike, and the Nikon Coolpix S8000 offers this by providing a powerfully advanced flash system for all types of lighting, an extra-low dispersion glass lens for the clearest images, and a 3-inch high-resolution liquid crystal display monitor for reviewing and editing shows and footage. This monitor also allows a mode for navigating the menu. The Nikon Coolpix S8000 digital camera takes photographs as well as high definition movies with stereo sound, all saved on memory cards for easy storage, organization, and access. High definition multimedia interface output allows you to share pictures or videos with friends or family easily. Furthermore, the Nikon Coolpix S8000 digital camera has 16 distinct scene modes to help you adapt to a variety of settings and make sure that you get the most detail into your photographs. This digital camera also features 4x anti-blur, which will automatically counter blurred images in four different ways. The Vibration Reduction Lens-Shift mode will help with image stabilization by reducing the effect of camera shake. This advanced image stabilization feature also offers compensation equivalent to an increase in shutter speed of roughly three stops. High International Organization of Standardization sensitivity reduces the risk of blurred images with fast-moving subjects or in low light. The high International Organization of Standardization mode is available up to 3200 at full size. Advanced motion detection will compensate for movement in either the camera itself or the subject of the picture. Best Shot Selector is an auto feature that automatically selects the sharpest of up to ten sequential shots. There are more advanced auto features in the smart portrait system. The smile timer results in shots taken whenever the subject smiles. A mode called blink proof alerts you when someone has his or her eyes closed. You can use skin softening to adjust uneven skin tones on people’s faces for smoother looking skin without having to do editing to the photo after the fact. Advanced face priority auto focus with in-camera red-eye fix allows you to quickly detect and focus accurately on up to twelve faces in the frame. This mode also corrects red eye due to flash the instant you take the shot. The Nikon Coolpix S8000 battery has impressive specs, including a battery life of approximately 210 shots with EN-EL12 battery. The Nikon Coolpix S8000 camera is lightweight and has great features for amateur and professional photographers.
