It leaked at the center where the two halves of the filter enclosure mate. The O rings are inside properly, and not damaged... I did use the Teflon tape on both the input and the output ends of the filter unit, no leaks there. What I finally did to fix the housing leak, was too wrap Teflon tape around the threads where the filter housing screws together, what a pain...but It finally worked.

When we installed it we saw it had a great fit - even without plumbers tape - and worked so well we were very pleasantly surprised! The settings are easy to change & it seems to use less water and no leaks at all. Great quality and sure looks nice!
