I swapped the PerTronix points and the Flame Thrower coil I was running for mechanical points and a stock coil. The tach still acted erratically at High RPM. I installed a tachometer filer and that fixed the problem. I put the PerTronix points back in, and it still works. The tach is a little hard to see. The clock is very accurate.

I have a little occasional bouncing of the tach needle so my search for that cause continues but I don't believe it has anything to do with this quality part. I am very happy the illumination matches my other gauges extremely well. My only suggestion for the manufacturer is they should include wires with the part.
