Product Information

Top Players Golf is a 2D golf game that has you choosing between four golfers and three styles of play: Stroke Play, Match Play, or Nassau. You must also select one of two courses to play on before teeing off. <br><br>As one of the four golfers, you must drive and putt your way through the holes in your chosen course. Before play, your caddy will tell you about the upcoming hole and may offer you suggestions on the best approach. You will also be informed of the hole number, yards to the pin, and the number of shots needed for par.<br><br>Swinging the club works in two stages. The first stage involves aiming a crosshair indicator in the direction you want the ball to go. Then you must use a fluctuating vertical power gauge to determine the power and angle of your shot. <br><br>The gauge itself is composed of four parts. The bottom section, which happens to be the largest, is a straight shot indicator, with the shot being more powerful at the top end of the section. Above this are hook and slice sections, with a narrow section in between that represents a powerful, straight shot. An optimal shot requires you to press the A button while the gauge indicator is dead center in the power shot section.<br><br>Before taking a shot you can choose which club you want to use, although the CPU will always select a default club choice for you. You can choose to switch modes and pan around the entire course to see the terrain ahead. You can also ask your caddy for advice on the best way to take the current shot.
