It stands approx 17'' high including the seat. I's the same height as my house toilet. I have arthritic knees and have a high-rise toilet seat at home,one of those clip-on seats,not a fixed seat. My clip on seat fits the seat of this portable toilet,which raises the seat height by another 2''-3'' for me,a nice bonus.
